I'm not sure if this has been posted here before or not. I was trying to get the 1b file for my E60 and was told the only way was to use a icom cable or ethernet adaptor. I spent the day googling a found a way to get the 1b file with only the use of a usb stick, no cables or anything else required.
1. Download and unpack the attached file. (1b and BMW-FSC Generator)
2. Get a USB stick, needs to be a small size, I tried several sticks, 4gb, 8gb and 32gb, but the only one I found that worked in the car was a old 1gb formatted to FAT.
3. Put the files in the 1b folder in the root dir of the formatted usb stick. (You only actually need the copie_scr.sh and fsc.bat files)
4. Go to car and turn ignition on, then sat nav, wait until sat nav is booted up.
5. Insert USB stick into port in glove box, wait about 30secs.
6. Put USB stick back into computer and you should now have a 1b.hex file on the stick.
7. Open the BMW-FSC Generator program, open the 1b.hex file, select map you've downloaded and generate the FSC.
I've no idea if this way will work on other models but it worked on my E60 possibly E9x's with CIC aswell. I installed the latest 2017-2 maps tonight. I found all this info on a German website and translated it.
Hope this helps somebody.
It does not manage to extract passwords or obd, nor IR route. Reading 1L02M in ETL and eprom dump is totally different from reading by OBD. VVDI MB does not accept dump either in etl or xprog format.
How to get the password?
I need little favor from someone with erWin account

I have a big issue about Mercedes W166 E350 CDI (3.0) Bluetec EDC17CP46.
I have done the FAP, EGR and Flap, Adblue but the car not running correctly, sometimes you got only 2.200 rpm and you need to switch off the car and then start again to get normal. I don't have any fault code and any warning light in instrument.
I reset all DPF parameter and disconnect all sensors (temp. sensor, differential pressure etc...)
When connect the differential pressure sensor, the issue come quickly but when you disconnect it, the issue not come quickly but he come finally.

I have Mercedes W166, ML350 with Eco Start Stop system. It doesn't work, even after hundred kilometers. So, I checked with Xentry, why it doesn't work, only problem is "On-board electrical system", what can cause this problem?
Other requirements turn into OK after few kilometers, only "On-board electrical system" prevents car from using ECO system.
I am seeing that many Mercedes cars have the function that the trunk may be closed by the key remote button.
The stationwagon S212 has just the opening function.
I do not understand why the Mercedes does not have integrated the function in every car with the electrical trunk.
Does anybody has a idea how to realize/change the coding of for example SAM-R or even what has to be changed to get the closing function activated.
The car at which one this should be done is a:
Stationwagon S212 350 4Matic 02/2010 of course with electrical trunk which is original in every S212.
