How to use keygen (not so simple)
We put vagcom. We read the car. (If you do not have a machine at hand, then we create a file in the vagcom's directory
Tst.bin with DTCs Checked content).
Run the vagcom, apply keygen. Code did not go but while the program said the type of this
Checksum Error and the inscription at the bottom of the CODE XXXX window. We need this number.
Now start the Windows calculator. We choose the engineering kind in it. Enter the number that was given by VAG and choose HEX.
As a result, we see a 4-digit result, which we substitute for the last 4-digits of the code.

I have a damaged PCM 3.1 unit resetting itself in every 15 seconds, showing only the logo. PIWIS is not able to reach the device. I would like to check the device on the desk measuring whether the problem is HW related (increased amp peak at the end of the cycle) or SW related. It turned out the device will not start the boot process if the CAN bus pins of the unit connector is not connected to the car. Does somebody have a tip how to bypass this "protection"? I assume if the service processor is not able to check the VIN than the device will not start. But maybe just a can gateway connection would be enough, I do not know.
Any suggestion how to proceed forward?

I looked up the maintenance manual and there was an explanation of environmental identification:
During installation, when some modules are programmed and configured, each module reads in a specific environment identifier that is unique to the vehicle. Environment identifiers are used to prevent interchanging modules between vehicles. The body control module (BCM) stores the environment identifier. Combination instrument, electronic brake control module, the warm wind, ventilation and air conditioning system control module, inflatable constraints, sensing and diagnosis module, engine control module (ECM) and the steering column lock device module (such as equipment) reading environment in the process of each configuration identifier. During the running of vehicles, car body control module sends anti-theft security system identifier as verify password, each module by environmental identifier is sent back to response the body control module. If the body control module sends a security system identifier that is incorrect or receives a certain number of incorrect environmental identifiers, the vehicle starts to stop.
My question is:
1: what form of "environmental identifiers" are mentioned in this paper?
2: is this "environment identifier" stored in the CPU inside the module or in a single chip?
3: because of this "environmental identifier" the secondary module cannot be used. How do we crack it?
